Plug-ins that work.

This page contains a list of plug-ins that I have tested with the 3.0 Beta version of WordPress. They worked when tested, but WordPress is under major revision.

wp-Table
The wp-Table plug in seems the simplest solution to install tables into your WordPress Blog. An example of the function of the plug in is the table at the end of this article. The link to get to the control for the plug-in is in the Posts section.

Born This Day
Born This Day adds a list of famous people in the sidebar of your blog. It is a fun plug-in if the blog your are developing permits frivolities. It is widgetized so you can set it anywhere in your sidebar. Free. Developed by Joe’s Web Tools.

SABRE
Simple Anti Bot Registration Engine allows you to set up a series of tests, such as a math test and CAPTCHA image, that prevents spam registrations if you allow registrations on your site. It works good, but I have not tested using it in conjunction with other plug-ins that might use similar methods.

WordPress.com Stats
Gives you a basic idea of what posts and pages are most viewed, who is referring to your site and what links, that you may have included, were clicked on. Free, but requires a WordPress.com API key.

WordPress.com Stats Dashboard
Gives you the same graph as WordPress.com Stats, but also a broken down detailed listing of stats. Requires that you have WordPress Stats installed. Looks like a good set up, but why would I want two WordPress.com Stats graphs in the Dashboard. Might want to rework this one so the extra stats are simply graphed (pardon the pun) on to the graph generated by WordPress.com Stats .
